Donnie & Ronnie Lappe are identical twins. They grew up in Brownwood, Texas & graduated from Brownwood High School, then Howard Payne University, graduating with a degree in the Douglas MacArthur Academy of Freedom, an honor system survey of the political and social sciences. They went on to received their Doctor of Jurisprudence at Baylor Law School in Waco, Texas. |
Donnie & Ronnie Lappe are members of the Vine Street Church of Christ. Donnie served as city attorney for the city of Early for 21 years and taught business law at Howard Payne University. ronnie was a Justice of the Peace for 24 years and currently serves as city judge for the city of Bangs, a position he has held for 10 years.
Both partners are active in community and non-profit organizations. Ronnie served on the Greenleaf Cemetery Board for 17 years, 7 as president. He served on the Habitat for Humanity Board for 6 years, the Neighborhood Revitalization Board for 5 years, the Good Samaritans Food Pantry for 6 years, Preservation Partnership for 6 years, two, three terms on the Early Chamber of Commerce Board and on 3 year term as an Early Chamber of Commerce Ambassador. He served 12 years on the Job Training Partnership Board for the West Central Texas Council of Government to advise the council on use of the job training partnership funnels in the west central Texas 19 county region for training providers.
Donnie & Ronnie have each been a member of the Downtown Lions Club (Lions International) since 1980. Each has served as president of the club and other positions on the Lions Club Board.
Ronnie has served as the chair of the Brown County Historical commission, an agency of the Texas Historical Commission and Brown County, since 1986 after originally serving an the Sesquicentennial Committee and sits on the board of the Brown County Museum of History. Donnie serves as the President of the Brown County Historical Society, a non-profit corporation.
